About Royal Racing

Royal Racing was borne out of necessity.  A rider’s need for down hill equipment that wasn’t just modified motorcross kit.  Started in 2000 by riding legend Steve Peat and designer Nick Bayliss, the company was an instant hit with the down hill mountain bike community, who recognised the kit had been developed by riders for riders.

Ten years on and the company is continuing to develop equipment which sets the standard in downhill, freeride and trail riding.  Our gear has no compromise and is developed for a specific purpose, whether it be for world cups or just serious trail riding.

The Royal brand is committed to cycling and so our the riders who wear it.

Royal Corporate Social Responsibility

It’s not about hugging trees.  It is about ensuring that everything we do is fair and we limit our impact on the environment.

Our business is about riding bikes outdoors.  So it’s also our business to do as much as possible to safeguard the places we love to ride those bikes. From head office through to manufacture, distribution and delivery, we are always looking at ways to reduce our impact on the environment. We don’t expect everyone to care (it would be nice if they did) but if you want to find out more you can request a copy of our Social Responsibility Charter. In the meantime don’t dump your old inner tubes on the trails and if you’re walking a course and spot a ‘tear-off’, don’t walk past it, do the right thing and pick it up and bin it.

Love your kit with our garment care advice

These days most garments are made from man-made fibres which are made up from millions upon millions of tiny little drinking straws all woven together. This creates the light, flexible and durable fabric needed to create high performance clothing.  To prolong the life of man made fibres never get them too hot and avoid chemicals (such as bleach) as both will make the fibres brittle and weaken their performance.
